Most BMX races held in New Zealand are run by BMX Clubs, and there are plenty in New Zealand throughout the year.
BMX itself is experiencing a momentous push off the back of the successful inclusion in the Olympic programme where Kiwi heroes Sarah Walker and Marc Willers performed on the world stage.
But it's not all about high performance, there are literally kids from aged 3 right through to 60 plus riding BMX in New Zealand in club racing and Championships.
Championship Events
BMXNZ calls for tenders each year for the 3 flagship BMX events, the South Island Titles (held each year in early January), the North Island Titles (held each year on Labour weekend) and the National Championships (held each year over Easter).
Contact events@bikenz.org.nz if you have any queries regarding applying to host a flagship event or to obtain a copy of the Championship guidelines.
