Elite & Under 23 National Road Championships

INTRODUCTION
The Elite/U23 Road Championships were first held in 2007.
The Championships are held in January to ensure the exposure of the National Champion’s Jersey during the current year and to try and attract the top riders who are generally overseas when the Club Road National Championships are held.
The Elite/U23 Road Championships are not necessarily rotated between north & south island but is awarded to the area/host which provides a good course with top quality facilities, public viewing, media profile and sponsorship opportunities. For 2010 - 2012, the Elite Roads will be held in Christchurch (click here for more information)
Entry to the championships is on a centre basis or registered Trade Team as of 2009.
The Elite Road Championships consist of an Elite (men and women) Individual Time Trial and Road Race and an Under 23 (men only) Time Trial and Road Race.
