Club Memberships

Cycling clubs are an integral part of the organisation of cycling in NZ. Clubs are the foundation of the sport side of riding, and also contribute to the visibility of cyclists and the development of cycling infrastructure (e.g trailbuilding, advocacy).

Clubs are a great source of cycling knowldge, and share this information freely with members. If it's skills, local trails, or people to ride with, your club is a great pace to start.

In order to get a race licence, you will also need to be a member of your local cycling club. Clubs set their own membership fees, which are in addition to any national fees required.

There are over 40 Road and Track Clubs (CNZ), 30 Mountain Bike Clubs (MTBNZ) and 40 BMX Clubs (BMX NZ) in New Zealand so there is sure to be one close to you! Click the links to the right to search for a club in your area (club contact details are updated regularly).
